Next Club Day
Sunday, 28th May 2017 at Newtons Property, Connolly Road, Seadown – will be signposted from Dominion Road on State Highway 1. For those travelling North Dominion Road is on the right after travelling through Seadown and for those travelling South is the first road on the left once through the first set of passing lanes after Temuka. This is same property and paddock as we raced at last month.
Please no dogs and remember to clean up after yourselves and respect this property.
Scrutineering is at 10:00am – 10:30 followed by drivers briefing. Please bring karts to the sign in table and form 2 lines for karts to be scrutineered. Please wait with your kart then sign in. Can we please have clean karts for scrutineering. Numbers must be on all four sides of the kart and be clearly readable, black on white or white on black. No numbers, no points.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 24th May at the Richard Pearse Tavern, 118 Le Cren Street, Timaru at 7.30pm with a light supper at the conclusion of the meeting. If you have any submissions for NZ Grass Kart rule changes please bring them in writing to the meeting for discussion and submission. If you are unable to attend the AGM but have a submission then please e-mail them to me at email@example.com and if you are unable to attend please advise your apologies to me as well.
April Race Meeting
We had a great turnout of 37 karts for our April meeting with an even amount of entries spread across all the grades although must admit it was great to see so many midgets racing – eight in total and then our new Super Kart Grade is now also attracting a great deal of interest with both Ben and Kyle racing this last meeting and word has it that there are a few more Super Kart developments happening.
Benny’s Again helper of the was awarded to Kathryn Stowell who took over Gareth’s BBQ duties and Midget/Intermediate Karter of the day was awarded to Malakai Webb of Christchurch – thanks heaps for coming down to race with us and hopefully Dad will bring you back down again.
The BBQ will be running during the lunch break with sausage/bread/onions for $2.00 and also have small bottles of fizzy drink for $1.00.
If you know of anyone who has a paddock available for the Club to race on please let one of the Committee know as it’s greatly appreciated to have new venues to race at.
