Next Club Day

Sunday, 22nd January 2017 at John Nicholas’s property, Waipopo, Seadown – will be signposted from Dominion Road on State Highway 1. For those travelling North Dominion Road is on the right after travelling through Seadown and for those travelling South is the first road on the left once through the first set of passing lanes after Temuka.

Apologies for any confusion caused as stated in December newsletter that next racing would be 29th January but in actual fact the 4th Sunday of this month is the 22nd.

Please no dogs and remember to clean up after yourselves and respect this property.

Scrutineering is at 10:00am – 10:30 followed by drivers briefing. Please bring karts to the sign in table and form 2 lines for karts to be scrutineered. Please wait with your kart then sign in.

Can we please have clean karts for scrutineering. Numbers must be on all four sides of the kart and be clearly readable, black on white or white on black. No numbers, no points.

The BBQ will be running during the lunch break with sausage/bread/onions for $2.00 and also have small bottles of fizzy drink for $1.00

Return of trophies

For those who have trophies from the 2016 Club Champs and the Hill Climb can you please return these ASAP.

New Club Trophies

This year we will be presenting trophies for the Most Improved Karter, Hard Luck Award and Karter of the Year as voted by YOU. Who do you think is the Most Improved Karter from any of the grades? The Hard Luck Award is for the karter who perhaps has blown a motor or a tyre during a crucial race or perhaps just generally has bad luck and then the Karter of the Year can be from anyone you think is just generally a great person, is perhaps helpful in fixing your kart, gives great advice or who is just generally helping in any way they can?

Voting papers will be available at the next race meeting and you have until Club Champs to hand these in.

If you know of anyone who has a paddock available for the Club to race on please let one of the Committee know as it’s greatly appreciated to have new venues to race at.

These will be published to our website www.sckartclub.co.nz and shared on our Facebook page South Canterbury Family Grass Kart Club. Please check out our website for news and race dates.

A big thanks to all our volunteers that help out leading up to and on our club days, your help is greatly appreciated.
